Art
We did two big projects during art this year. The first one was an Andy Warhol inspired painting. We had to make four portraits of ourselves, each one using a different color scheme. I'm not uploading it because my camera is not of the best quality and I don't have it with me right now.
That excuse also applies to the second major project, which was to create a mandala based off of the Tibetans' mandalas. We had to create a central goal in the middle of a flower (which was the center of the painting), then draw four symbols representing how you would get to that goal. We also had to draw designs for the backgrounds of the symbols and for the three outer rings.
My goal was to "follow my dreams" (represented by a dream catcher). The symbols I used were a calculator (problem solving), a telescope (knowledge), fire (passion), and a dragon (courage). It took me forever to finish it, but I finally did, and for once the result actually wasn't too bad.
Art was really fun this year, but our art teacher's leaving this year too! I'm so upset by this and I hope next year's art teacher would be just as good as this one.
